Express Power Of The President

  1. All powers to appoint office bearer are ultimately vested in the President who shall at his discretion, delegate this role to departmental directors. However, the President still reserves the prerogative to approve or disapprove such appointments.
  2. Shall have powers to reshuffle, create new positions/directorates, relinquish office bearers of their positions and appoint new bearers without necessarily disclosing reasons for such decisions.
  3. Shall have power to convene meetings for spiritual, executive, administrative, disciplinary and any other nature as deemed necessary.
  4. Shall expressly approve of the disposal of assets belonging to the ministry.
  5. Shall have the powers to issue instructions on the administration of all ministry resources and such instructions shall supersede the dictates and provisions of respective policy documents; provided such instructions are for the advancement of the Mercy City Christian Church International and/or the Kingdom of God.
  6. Shall have the power to set up ad hoc committees, directorates and/or management teams.
  7. Shall have the final authority to name and/or approve suggested names of branches, departments, and any other activity or sub-organisation formed under this ministry.
  8. Shall have the power to assign extra authority and duties to office bearers at all levels beyond and/or in addition to those expressly stipulated in this constitution.
  9. Shall preside and oversee disciplinary meetings.
  10. Shall have the power to delegate powers to a named person and such delegation shall be put in writing and communicated to all relevant persons.
  11. Shall have powers to appoint a successor.
  12. Shall have the final authority to assent to or veto all proposed amendments to this constitution. This shall be done in writing.
